History
Since its founding in 2001, ALCA has grown alongside the development of Albania’s construction industry. The milestones below trace the company’s evolution — from its early projects to becoming a leading partner for complex façade systems.
2001
Where It Started
Founded by Albert Zaka in a small workshop along the banks of the Lana River in Tirana, ALCA is built on craftsmanship, reliability, and technical discipline — principles that continue, to define its approach today.
2003
Raising the Standard
A strategic partnership with METRA introduces higher technical standards and stronger system integration. ALCA expands into Italy as a subcontractor, gaining exposure to more complex façade projects and international construction environments.
2005
Building Our Own Home
ALCA invests in the construction of its headquarters and production facility. Engineering and manufacturing capabilities expand, establishing greater control and preparing the company for larger-scale and more complex projects.
2008
Strategic Turning Point
A joint venture with AZA Corp for the ABA Business Center marks a decisive turning point. Delivering the façade of Albania’s tallest tower at the time establishes ALCA in curtain wall systems.
2015–20
Industrial Evolution
Targeted investments in CNC machinery, advanced equipment, and production processes transform ALCA into a more industrialized and technically structured organization, capable of delivering greater precision, efficiency, and consistency at scale.
2020-25
Defining the Skyline
ALCA contributes to landmark developments including Tirana’s Rock by MVRDV, Tirana Vertical Forest by Stefano Boeri Architetti, and Ekspozita Building by Mario Cucinella Architects, strengthening its position as a leading façade contractor in Albania.
