DESCRIPTION

Ekspozita Building is a 93-meter mixed-use development in the heart of Tirana, designed by Mario Cucinella Architects (MCA). This landmark project seamlessly integrates residential, commercial, and public spaces, redefining the urban landscape with a strong focus on sustainability and livability. One of the defining features of the Ekspozita Building is its distinctive form, which partially embraces a generous green space, offering a natural retreat within the city’s dense fabric. This urban oasis is further enhanced by extensive planting on the upper residential floors and inward-facing balconies, creating a sense of enclosure and tranquility while maintaining a connection to the surrounding environment. The building’s footprint is strategically designed to maximize public space, with its three-and-a-half-sided structure opening toward Blv Gjergj Fishta, one of Tirana’s main arteries. This design approach not only provides additional pedestrian areas but also fosters a dynamic interaction between architecture and the city. Rising 24 stories, the building’s height and stepped profile take inspiration from the nearby Mount Dajti and Balkan mountain ranges, blending contemporary urban design with the region’s natural topography. A diagonal passageway through the rear of the structure enhances site permeability, dividing the commercial spaces on the lower floors while creating a direct connection between the city and the development.
